Labour has invested more than £40 million in the wave hub project off the coast of Cornwall, near Hayle to bring better jobs and prosperity to the area. Projects based on engineering and technology skills will help drive up wages in Cornwall. - Knowledge Spa
Since 2004, the Knowledge Spa has provided support, facilities and business units to healthcare professionals, as well as the base for our Peninsula Medical School in Cornwall. - Peninsula Medical School
The Peninsula Medical School was established in August 2000 following a successful bid to government, strongly supported by local Labour MP Candy Atherton. It is a partnership between the Universities of Exeter and Plymouth and the NHS in Cornwall. The school was one of the first to be built in the UK for more than 30 years and is one of five competely new medical schools built to expand the numbers of medical students.
