Jude Robinson, Labour's Parliamentary Candidate for Camborne, Redruth & Hayle has signed up to Cancer Research UK's Cancer Commitment, to help make UK cancer outcomes amongst the best in Europe in the next ten years.
Jude said: "Investment in the NHS for better, faster cancer treatment has helped improve survival rates in the UK but we need to do more.
"The government is now piloting a new software programme to help GPs diagnose cancer earlier, which is key to improving outcomes. This will be another world first for the NHS with Labour.
"I am very pleased to sign up to this campaign and promote it. Locally, cancer treatment is excellent but focusing on earlier diagnosis, rising awareness and better access for all patients to treatment will help make survival rates even better. That is definitely a target worth aiming for."
